General

Tuition is due on the 22nd of the month. We assume carryover enrollment, unlesswritten cancellation notice is received by the 20th. Tuition can be paid online through the parent portal on our website, or in person at the front desk using a credit/debit card, personal check, or cash. We suggest signing up for our convenient AutoPay system so you never have to worry about incurring a late fee – Charges are posted on the 21st and Autopay is run on the 22nd of every month.Payments received after the 1st of the next month will incur an additional $10 late fee. This fee cannot be waived. If tuition has not been received by the 6th of the month, your gymnast will be dropped from class until the balance is covered. Once a gymnast has been removed from the enrollment, there is no guarantee the class will not fill their spot.

Students should wear comfortable athletic clothing. A leotard is not required for class, but we do have a retail shop with leotards available. Long hair should be pulled back away from the face and secured tightly. All jewelry (other than stud earrings) must be removed prior to participation. Students can participate either barefoot or with socks.

Please check our website and social media accounts for updates on a class status that day. We try our best to post any canceled classes by 2:00 PM on possible bad weather days. You will also receive an email notification if classes are canceled for the evening due to weather. We try to accommodate make-up classes for any closings due to weather.

Gymnastic Classes

For students in our Preschool Program classes, moving up levels is age-based. We do offer a class for Advanced children in this program that requires instructor consent prior to enrollment. For students in the Recreational program, every time they come to class is a chance to mark off skills! Once a student masters the skills at their current level, they will receive a certificate inviting them to move up to the next level.

We are a month-to-month enrollment gym. You can enroll your child at any time, and tuition will be pro-rated for the classes your child attends in that first month. Once you are enrolled in classes, we assume continuous enrollment unless we receive written notification by the 20th of the month that you do not wish to continue onto the next month.

Yes. When your child misses a class, you have the choice to either pick up twoOpen Gym Passes at the front desk for each missed class or schedule a make-up class on a different day and time. You can schedule these classes through your Parent Portal, but may also call, text, or email for assistance. Availability is limited, and therefore we cannot guarantee that you will be able to find a make-up class time. If you do choose to complete a make-up class, it must be scheduled within 30 days of the missed class.

Yes! We do offer one free trial class to make sure the class and our gym is the right fit for you. To schedule a trial class, contact the gym to find out which class best fits the age and ability of your child. We will work with you to find class availability that fits your schedule. Once a Trial is scheduled, we will create a “Free Trial Ticket” for your gymnast- this will have their name, class information, and QR codes on the back that will take you straight to your Parent Portal or our website!

If you are going to be more than 10 minutes late, please alert our Front Office and schedule a complimentary Make Up Class. Warm Up time is essential to ensuring the safety of our students and a way to prepare their gymnastics muscles for new skills.

Competitive Team

Team Gymnastics at Lake City Twisters consists of two tracts, Junior Olympic and Xcel. These teams provide opportunities for gymnasts to compete at competitions around the state of Wisconsin against gymnasts of similar age and talent level.

Junior Olympic consists of 3 compulsory levels (3-5) and 3 Optional levels (7-10). In compulsory gymnastics, gymnasts perform the same skills and routines on each event as the other gymnasts in their level. In Optional gymnastics, gymnasts are able to choose and create unique routines using comparable skills to other gymnasts in their level.

Xcel Team provides a competitive experience for young gymnasts who also want to pursue other interests. It requires less of a time commitment than other competitive programs. Xcel consists of four levels; Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond.

Compulsory teams practice 3-4 days a week for approximately 2-3 hour per practice. Optional gymnasts practice 5-6 days a week for approximately 4 hours per practice. Xcel gymnasts practice 2-3 days a week for 2 hours per practice.
A commitment to a team at Lake City Twisters is a year-round commitment. Teams practice year-round and typically take a weeklong break during Winter Break, Spring Break and the week of 4th of July. Our team members are required to attend practice regularly and compete in the number of meets required by their program’s Head Coach. Team members are required to purchase the competition leotard and team warm up to match their teammates.
The Compulsory Team competes in the fall with competitions starting in September and culminating with the state meet in December. The Optional Team competitions starts in December with their state meet in March. Optional gymnasts may also qualify for Regional and National Championships which take place in April and May. The Xcel Team competition season begins in January with their state meet in March. Xcel gymnasts may also qualify to a Reginal Championship which occurs in April.
Coaches are consistently evaluating out students. The Head Coach of each team will provide a written invitation to those students invited to a team program.
There are many factors that go into a team invite. Current skills (both if they have certain skills, but also HOW they perform those skills), age, willingness to learn (coachability), behavior (listening, focus and attention in current class), attendance and more go into our evaluation to invite a student to a certain team.
If you or your child are interested in team, please email our team email address at lakecitytwistersteam@gmail.com. Our team directors will get in touch with you to talk about next steps.
